Principles of Community Health Nursing

(Community Health Nursing ના 20 મુખ્ય સિદ્ધાંતો)

1. Health services should be based on the needs of the community

Community health nursing services community ના actual health needs અને problems પર આધારિત હોવી જોઈએ, એટલે nurse એ community assessment કરીને જરૂરિયાત મુજબ services plan કરવી.

2. Community participation is essential

Community health programmes people ની active participation વગર સફળ બની શકતા નથી, એટલે nurse એ community members ને motivate અને involve કરવું જરૂરી છે.

3. Health education is an important tool

Community health nursing માં health education very important role play કરે છે, કારણ કે awareness દ્વારા લોકો disease prevention અને healthy lifestyle adopt કરે છે.

4. Prevention is better than cure

Community health nursing નો main focus disease prevention અને health promotion પર હોય છે rather than only treatment, એટલે preventive care વધુ મહત્વપૂર્ણ છે.

5. Services should be available to all people

Health services community ના બધા લોકો માટે equally available હોવી જોઈએ, કોઈપણ caste, religion, gender અથવા economic status મુજબ discrimination ન થવું જોઈએ.

6. Services should be continuous

Community health nursing services continuous process છે, એટલે regular follow-up, supervision અને evaluation જરૂરી છે.

7. Family is the unit of service

Community health nursing માં family ને basic unit માનવામાં આવે છે, કારણ કે family health directly individual health ને influence કરે છે.

8. Health services should be integrated

Community health services curative, preventive, promotive અને rehabilitative services સાથે integrated હોવી જોઈએ જેથી comprehensive care મળી શકે.

9. Team work is essential

Community health nursing માં health team approach જરૂરી છે, જેમાં doctor, nurse, health worker, ASHA, Anganwadi worker વગેરે સાથે coordination રાખવું પડે છે.

10. Use of available resources

Community health nurse એ community માં available resources (manpower, facilities, organizations) નો proper utilization કરવો જોઈએ.

11. Respect for cultural beliefs and practices

Community health nurse એ community ના culture, customs અને beliefs નો respect રાખીને health services આપવી જોઈએ.

12. Proper planning is necessary

Community health programmes proper planning, implementation અને evaluation સાથે conduct થવા જોઈએ જેથી objectives achieve થઈ શકે.

13. Services should be scientifically based

Community health nursing practices scientific knowledge અને evidence-based principles પર આધારિત હોવી જોઈએ.

14. Early diagnosis and treatment

Community health nurse એ early detection of disease અને prompt treatment માટે screening અને referral services આપવી જોઈએ.

15. Health services should be economical

Community health services cost-effective અને affordable હોવી જોઈએ, જેથી poor population પણ તેનો લાભ લઈ શકે.

16. Focus on vulnerable groups

Community health nursing માં high-risk groups જેમ કે mothers, children, elderly અને disabled લોકો પર special attention આપવું જરૂરી છે.

17. Community self-reliance should be encouraged

Community health nurse એ community ને self-reliant બનાવવા માટે training, awareness અને empowerment promote કરવું જોઈએ.

18. Record and report maintenance

Community health nursing માં accurate records અને reports maintain કરવું ખૂબ જરૂરી છે, કારણ કે planning અને evaluation માટે data useful બને છે.

19. Health programmes should follow government policies

Community health services government health policies, national health programmes અને guidelines મુજબ implement થવી જોઈએ.

20. Evaluation of services is necessary

Community health programmes regular evaluation અને monitoring દ્વારા improve કરવામાં આવે છે, જેથી services વધુ effective બની શકે.
