Role of Nurse (નર્સની ભૂમિકા)

1. Caregiver (સેવા આપનાર / Care Provider)

Nurse નું સૌથી basic role caregiver છે. Nurse patient ને physical, psychological, social અને spiritual care provide કરે છે.

Hospital માં admitted patient ને medication આપવી, dressing કરવી, hygiene maintain કરાવવું, comfort provide કરવું વગેરે caregiver role માં આવે છે. Nurse patient ની needs identify કરીને individualized care આપે છે જેથી patient નું health status improve થાય.

2. Advocate (રોગીના હિત માટે બોલનાર)

Nurse patient નો advocate તરીકે કામ કરે છે. તેનો અર્થ કે nurse patient ના rights, safety અને dignity protect કરે છે.

જો patient કોઈ treatment સમજતો ન હોય તો nurse તેને explain કરે છે અને patient ની choice respect કરે છે. Nurse ensure કરે છે કે patient ને proper information અને informed consent મળે.

3. Educator (શિક્ષક)

Nurse patient અને family members ને health education આપે છે. Disease prevention, medication use, diet, hygiene, immunization વગેરે વિષય પર teaching આપે છે.

Example: diabetic patient ને nurse diet control, insulin use અને exercise વિશે સમજાવે છે. Health education દ્વારા patient પોતાની health better manage કરી શકે છે.

4. Counselor (સલાહકાર)

Patient ઘણીવાર illness કારણે stress, fear, anxiety અનુભવે છે. Nurse counselor તરીકે patient ને emotional support આપે છે અને તેની problems સાંભળે છે.

Nurse patient ને positive thinking માટે motivate કરે છે જેથી patient mentally strong બની શકે.

5. Communicator (સંચારક)

Effective communication nursing practice માટે ખૂબ important છે. Nurse patient, doctor, relatives અને health team વચ્ચે information exchange કરે છે.

Clear communication થી patient care વધુ effective બને છે અને misunderstanding avoid થાય છે.

6. Manager / Leader (વ્યવસ્થાપક / નેતા)

Hospital ward માં nurse ઘણીવાર leader અને manager તરીકે કામ કરે છે. Nurse ward activities plan કરે છે.

nursing staff ને duties assign કરે છે અને resources manage કરે છે. Proper management થી patient care smoothly ચાલે છે.

7. Collaborator (સહયોગી)

Nurse health team સાથે collaborate કરે છે જેમાં doctor, physiotherapist, dietician, pharmacist વગેરે સામેલ છે.

Team work દ્વારા patient ને holistic care મળે છે. Collaboration patient outcome improve કરવામાં મદદ કરે છે.

8. Researcher (સંશોધક)

Modern nursing practice evidence-based છે. Nurse research activities માં participate કરે છે અને new knowledge apply કરે છે.

Research દ્વારા better nursing care methods develop થાય છે અને patient care quality improve થાય છે.

9. Health Promoter (આરોગ્ય પ્રોત્સાહક)

Nurse community અને hospital બંનેમાં health promotion activities કરે છે.

Healthy lifestyle, nutrition, sanitation, vaccination વગેરે promote કરે છે. Health promotion થી disease prevention શક્ય બને છે.

10. Rehabilitator (પુનર્વસન સહાયક)

Illness અથવા injury પછી patient ને normal life માં પાછા લાવવા માટે nurse rehabilitation માં મદદ કરે છે.

Nurse patient ને exercise, physiotherapy support, self-care training વગેરે માટે encourage કરે છે જેથી patient independence પ્રાપ્ત કરી શકે.

11. Record Keeper (દસ્તાવેજ રાખનાર)

Nurse patient નું accurate documentation રાખે છે. Vital signs, medication record, nursing care plan, progress notes વગેરે properly document કરવું જરૂરી છે.

Proper records future treatment અને legal purposes માટે important છે.

12. Patient Safety Protector (રોગીની સલામતી રક્ષક)

Nurse patient safety ensure કરે છે. Infection control practices, correct medication administration, fall prevention, safe environment maintain કરવું nurse ની responsibility છે.

Patient safety maintain કરવાથી complications prevent થાય છે.
