Socialization (સામાજિકીકરણ)

Introduction (પરિચય)

-Human being જન્મ સમયે માત્ર biological organism હોય છે, પરંતુ society માં proper living, communication અને behavior develop કરવા માટે socialization process જરૂરી છે.

-Socialization એ એવી learning process છે જેમાં individual society ના values, culture, customs, traditions, beliefs, language અને social roles gradually શીખે છે.

-Child જન્મ પછી family, school, peer group અને society સાથે interaction દ્વારા socially acceptable behavior develop કરે છે.

-Socialization society ની continuity maintain કરવા માટે important છે કારણ કે તે culture, norms અને traditions એક generation થી બીજી generation સુધી transfer કરે છે.

-Nursing field માં socialization ખાસ important છે કારણ કે nurse ને professional discipline, empathy, communication skills અને ethical behavior develop કરવાની જરૂર પડે છે જેથી patient care effective બની શકે.

Definition (વ્યાખ્યા)

Socialization એટલે એવી process જેમાં individual society ના rules, norms, traditions અને cultural values શીખે છે અને gradually society નો responsible member બને છે.

Types of Socialization (સામાજિકીકરણના પ્રકાર)

1. Primary Socialization

Primary socialization life ના early childhood stage માં થાય છે અને mainly family environment માં develop થાય છે.

Child parents અને family members પાસેથી language, discipline, social manners, emotional behavior અને cultural practices શીખે છે.

Primary socialization child ના basic personality development માટે very important છે.

Example: child parents પાસેથી respect, greeting style અને eating habits શીખે છે.

2. Secondary Socialization

Secondary socialization childhood પછી different social institutions માં develop થાય છે જેમ કે school, college, workplace, peer group અને community.

Individual society માં different roles perform કરવાનું શીખે છે અને social responsibilities, cooperation અને discipline develop કરે છે.

Example: nursing student hospital clinical training દરમિયાન professional communication અને teamwork develop કરે છે.

3. Anticipatory Socialization

Anticipatory socialization એટલે future role માટે advance preparation કરવી.

Individual future occupation અથવા social role માટે required behavior અને skills learn કરે છે.

Example: nursing student internship દરમિયાન future staff nurse role માટે professional behavior develop કરે છે.

4. Resocialization

Resocialization એ એવી process છે જેમાં individual old habits, beliefs અથવા behavior છોડીને new social norms અને values adopt કરે છે.

Example: hospital training દરમિયાન student strict discipline, punctuality અને professional ethics adopt કરે છે.

Agents of Socialization (સામાજિકીકરણના એજન્ટ)

Agents એટલે એવી social institutions અથવા groups જે individual ના social behavior અને personality formation પર influence કરે છે.

1. Family

Family socialization નો first and most important agent છે.

Child family પાસેથી language, culture, emotional bonding, discipline અને moral values learn કરે છે.

Family environment child ના personality development માટે strong foundation બનાવે છે.

2. School

School child માટે formal education institution છે.

School discipline, cooperation, leadership, competition અને social interaction develop કરવામાં help કરે છે.

Teachers students ને social responsibility અને good behavior શીખવે છે.

3. Peer Group

Peer group એટલે friends અને same age group ના individuals.

Peer interaction individual ના attitudes, lifestyle, interests અને personality development પર strong influence કરે છે.

Adolescent stage માં peer group influence વધારે strong હોય છે.

4. Religion

Religion individuals ને moral guidance, ethical values, belief system અને spiritual discipline provide કરે છે.

Religion society માં harmony, tolerance અને respect develop કરવામાં important role play કરે છે.

5. Mass Media

Mass media જેમ કે television, radio, newspaper, internet અને social media individuals ના knowledge, opinions અને attitudes પર influence કરે છે.

Modern society માં media socialization નું powerful agent બની ગયું છે.

6. Workplace / Professional Institutions

Workplace individual ને professional behavior, discipline, responsibility અને teamwork develop કરવામાં help કરે છે.

Example: hospital environment nursing students ને patient care ethics અને professional conduct શીખવે છે.

2. Identification

Child specific person સાથે emotional attachment develop કરીને તેમનું behavior adopt કરે છે.
